Merijn Schoeber: What’s going on, guys? Merijn here for Student Aesthetics. Today is Saturday and today is the Mysteryland Festival. It’s going to be super, super late. I’ve been looking forward to this a long time because this is one of my favorite festivals. Here in the Netherlands, it’s summer and we’re going with like the whole crew, group of friends. I think same crew we went with last year. Ramos is joining as well. My brother is actually joining, so we’re going to have a crazy time and it’s going to be a lot of fun. And I’m going to take you guys kind of along. I’m not sure how much I’m going to vlog. I’m just going to, you know, do random vlogging bits on the iPhone just like I did in Amsterdam a couple of vlogs back. And it was a super random vlog but you guys seemed to enjoy it and you guys said that the quality of the iPhone didn’t, you know, hurt the vlog in a bad way or anything.

 

So I always kind of thought, you know, it’s about content over quality in the first place. So, yeah, we’re going to see how much footage I capture and I’m probably going to continue the vlog tomorrow. Oh, yeah, let me also show you what the outfit looks like.

All right guys. It’s post-Mysteryland. Woke up really late today and we’re getting today started. We had an awesome weekend and now it’s back to work, you know, obviously. So what we’re going to do first today, take some photos because the weather is super nice here today. So we were pretty much walking here in the park and we ran into a subscriber immediately. So that’s very cool. You’re having an intro week here now.

 

Speaker: Yes, yes. I am going to do study here in Nijmegen. It’s called Biology and the Life Sciences. And we were sitting here on the grass field and I saw and then I think, “Whoa. I need to take a selfie right now, man.”

 

Merijn Schoeber: I saw somebody looking at me, I was like, “Yeah, that’s definitely a subscriber.”

 

Speaker: Yeah. It’s so sick to meet you, man.

 

Merijn Schoeber: Appreciate it, man. For how long have you been following?

 

Speaker: I think since a year or so. It’s so sick to see how you – how you grow, you know, how fast it goes and then the – the tour with Alphalete.

 

Merijn Schoeber: Yeah, yeah, yeah.

 

Speaker: So sick to see you and all the people going to show up as well.

 

Merijn Schoeber: Yeah, I appreciate it, man.

Merijn Schoeber: Yeah, it’s crazy, yeah. Have you learned anything positive from the channel?

 

Speaker: Yeah, so much. How to do some exercises and – yeah, and the motivation is so big, you know. To see – sometimes you don’t have – you are not energized to do a workout –

 

Merijn Schoeber: Yeah.

 

Speaker: – and then you watch a video and you give the examples that – oh, so sick.

So we finished the [0:05:50] [indiscernible] we went to the grocery store and now it’s pretty late. Yeah, it’s almost 7:00. I’m going to have the first meal. I’m going to take you guys along. It’s going to be very, very easy meal. It includes chicken. It’s pretty much on a budget as well, so I thought I’d show you guys. Got some batteries because we are weighing out everything we eat. So let’s get started.

 

All right, so we’re making couscous here. The cool thing about this recipe is everything is in one pan. All right, so what we’re going to do first, cook up the chicken a couple of minutes, then we’re going to add the vegetables. So for the vegetables, we got zucchinis and we got some bell pepper here, and onions as well. And then we’re going to add water later on and then we’re going to add the couscous. And I’ll show you guys.

 

All right, so I’m adding some spices here because we’re going to add some sauce as well but this is pretty high in calories. Since I’m cutting, I want to not get too many calories from sauces because they don’t fill you up as well. I’m putting in the salt, pepper and some garlic powder.

 

So now we put up the heat and we wait until the water is boiling then we just add it. And then we’re going to add the couscous. And now we put it off the heat and then we’ll let it steam for about four minutes. All right, so the water is boiling now. This is white [0:07:07] [roast] portion, 120 grams. I’m going to do a little less. I’m going to do 80 grams myself. And now we’re going to leave that there for four minutes.

 

All right, so it’s done. That’s how it looks. It smells really good. Now, one thing, normally, you actually want to add the sauce before you add the water to this recipe because then it’ll taste a lot better. But, you know, if you want to track your sauce, it’s kind of like easier to do it afterwards especially since we’re both eating a different amount of sauce. I’m actually going to skip out on the sauce because I just found out that this sauce has a lot more calories than I thought. I misread the label which is something – that can happen even if you’re an advanced tracker.

 

All right, so 20 grams of this cheese is 4 grams of fat and 6.2 grams of protein. That’s pretty solid, man. Yeah, that’s a good amount. All right, so this meal, with the amounts that I have used, it comes down to about 600 calories. So if you are bulking, you can easily increase the amount of couscous that you use, also add sauce, add more cheese for example. So there are a lot of ways to easily increase this meal. But as you can see, this is a very easy meal so make sure to try it out at home. It’s very simple. It only takes one pan and, you know, it’s done within like 10 minutes or even less.

 

So in total today, I have had a little bit more calories because I also had two apples and a protein bar while I was cooking this up. So I’ve had 105 grams of carbs, 15 grams of fat and 74 grams of protein. What time is it now? 7:30. We’re going to hit the gym about an hour from now.

 

All right, guys. I’m rating this meal really high. And this man right there actually came up with the meal. It’s his idea. Credits to Wiro.

Merijn Schoeber: And it’s quick and on a budget. It’s insane.

 

Wiro: If you got the macros, do it with sauce. It’s like two times better with sauce.

 

Merijn Schoeber: Yeah. Yeah. I did it without sauce and it was already epic, so you can only imagine.

 

Wiro: And cheese. It’s probably not traditional at all.

 

Merijn Schoeber: This is very Moroccan, man, cheese.

 

Wiro: But it’s very good.

 

Merijn Schoeber: Epic.

 

So I just got my pre-work already, enjoying the nice sunset. And I’m going to get in the zone because I have a confession to make. My confession, I haven’t been to the gym in a couple of days, like almost a week because like I said in the calisthenics video, I actually kind of snapped my lower back while I did that challenge with Stan. It probably wasn’t the smartest idea to do. So I took some days off just to be safe, just to be sure. Right now it’s feeling pretty good again. I’m pretty sure it’s fully away.

 

Today, we’re going to hit the first workout again. I think it’s going to be pull workout. Also, watch what I’m wearing today, Tayroc usual. Link and this is going to go in the description box down below. I’m going to sip this, head to the gym and kill it. Well, I’m not sure. We’re going to – we’re going to find that out. We’re going to take it easy though. It’s very important that you don’t know overreach and that’s why I took a week off just to be sure. Also, because I haven’t had a de-load week in a while and I also – you know, I always want to de-load every 8 to 12 weeks. So I’m just going to see this as my de-load week.

Stan: I’m ready.

 

Merijn Schoeber: No wire today.

 

Stan: No, wire. No. I’m not ready for that.

Merijn Schoeber: All right. So we’re going to do full workout today. Stan is starting off with a little different exercise than I am. We’re doing the barbell rows. Since barbell row puts a lot of stress on lower back, I’m going to stay away from it today, just be safe, be sure. So instead, I’m going to do pull-ups because that doesn’t put any stress on my lower back. I’m going to do bodyweight as well, so it’s not going to be a power workout. I’m going to do high [0:11:32] [indiscernible] so high reps. So I’m probably going to do like four sets of 12 reps bodyweight on the pull-ups.

 

Pull-ups was the compound lift of today. But the rest of the exercise is pretty much going to stick to machine work, like I said, just to make sure I don’t have any stress on the lower back or to actually minimize it. And after the back, we’re going to do some traps and I’ll finish up with biceps and that is it for this pull workout.

 

We just got back from the workout, I want to vep up the vlog here but I realized that I don’t have a thumbnail yet so I was thinking about ideas for a thumbnail, what will attract the most views. I’ll probably just go full douche bag mode. It seems to work well most of the time.

 

See, like I said, I want to rev up this vlog here so I gave you guys a little insight in behind the scenes shooting a thumbnail. I think today, you know, we got a little setback last week but that is the shit that happens. You got to deal with it even though, you know, it was my own fault. I went a little too far last week, why I got, you know, the little lower – lower back injury. Today it felt good again but just to be safe, I took things easy. Setbacks happen. You got to deal with it like I said and just get back on track. So I’m all good. Also, not feeling 100% after the festival. That is just life happening. I like to go to these festivals, I know a lot of you guys do as well. So I’m not going to pretend like I don’t go to festivals and I live a perfectly healthy lifestyle and all that. You guys know I balance everything and that is the lifestyle that I preach. I’m still getting great results because I know how to balance all of that and how to not take things too far but still, you know, find that proper balance.

 

You know, having a great time at the gym, having a great time of my life, this was kind of shitty to be honest because this week I really, really want to hit the gym every single day but I had to kind of like force myself to stay home but it’s good to do that sometimes and I’m feeling a lot better right now. When I got that bump in the gym, honestly that felt freaking amazing so I’m feeling good, man. I’m about to eat a lot of food right now because I got like 1,500 calories left and then I’m about to go sleep and that’s going to pretty much conclude today’s video.

 

I also want to thank everybody that said hi at Mysteryland festival and, you know, all the other festivals that I’ve been the last couple of weeks. I’ve been to a lot actually pretty` much every weekend. And I’m running into so many people nowadays. I want you guys realize as well, you know, some of you guys have made me – I’m only doing like quickly for a picture and that’s because, you know, I’m with a group of friends. I don’t want you guys to think that I don’t want to make time for you or I don’t appreciate it because I really do. I think it’s freaking awesome, people coming out to me to say hi, so I highly want you guys to keep doing that but also want you to understand like when there are like 40 people coming out to me on a certain day, I can’t like have a fairly long chat with everybody, right? So I want you guys to know that, you know, I love everybody watching my channel, and my subscribers.
