Rob: We had life in general.
Merijn Schoeber: Yeah, just we have life in general just because life in general and we have to catch up flight this morning from Dublin to Amsterdam. So Dublin was amazing.
Rob: Yeah, today was amazing.
Merijn Schoeber: I’m going to show them around in my country, Netherlands. I’m very excited. They’re having some food right. This is my breakfast. Black coffee, a spork and water, like [0:00:32] [indiscernible] made of fat. I’m still sticking to the [0:00:36] [indiscernible] but it was worth, so today it’s back [0:00:40] [indiscernible] drive and we’re going to have a good day. We actually wanted to check in a hotel, go to sleep for couple of hours. And then get the day started but we can’t check in early. So –
Rob: It was just it is what it is.
Merijn Schoeber: All right. So we came in Amsterdam at exactly the right time. I don’t know if [0:01:11] [indiscernible] message but there’s a gay parade here. So here’s basically like a parties all over in the city. It’s crazy busy. We’re going to take a walk. Rob is still sleeping. He fell asleep. We just keep on going. I know if I go sleep, I probably can’t sleep tonight. Emily has never to Europe. First time in her life. So that’s pretty crazy, so I was like fuck it. I’ve seen the city a thousand times. So I’m going to – yeah, yeah, we’re going to explore. I’m not going to show too much because tomorrow we’re also, yeah, probably going to – like I’m going to give them a tour for the meet up.

Emily: It’s coconut cold brew. So essentially, it’s just cold brewed coffee with a splash of [0:01:53] [indiscernible].
Merijn Schoeber: That’s right. How many calories?
Emily: Like 50 calories, but [0:01:59] [indiscernible] a little bit. No?

So what is the first impression?

I got my first meal, I’m keeping it small. Half foot long, double chicken, regular meal. So we’re chilling here in the Dam, Dam Square.

Michael: Now I want you to walk towards me.
Merijn Schoeber: We just chilled there for a bit in the city center. Also I just went to a grocery store to get some snacks because we also got a fridge in this hotel room. I was like, you know, it’s probably smart to have some snacks ready for like in between the bigger meals.
So these are some of the snacks I like to have while cutting and traveling. So this is like a low fat yoghurt. That’s like 40 grams of protein and the whole thing. Just some chicken and this is pre-smoked, so you can eat this like directly. I’m going to have some tomatoes with this. You know, get that veggie intake going because that’s always hard while travelling. Blueberries, put that in here and, yeah, maybe like eat this separately or put it in there as well. I’ll see. And then I have like two carb sources like some rice cakes and some gingerbread with 0% added sugar.
And so when you’re travelling, you got to be creative with food. We put this on here. All right, so proper pre-work, I mean, right there, plenty of veggies, a little bit of carbs, some protein and, you know, like after workout, we’ll have a bigger meal but this is definitely good to roll with. So I’m going to like go for these rice cakes. This is 150 grams of chicken.
Hi, guys, so we made it to the gym. It’s just me and Rob. The rest couldn’t make it. They’re probably sleeping or dying. I don’t know.
Rob: They don’t have our dedication.
Merijn Schoeber: We do. We have [0:06:49] [to come] anyway. Like Christian wasn’t reachable, so we don’t know what room he is in. We went like, fuck it, we can – we can keep waiting but the gym is closing at some point, so we’re going to freaking hit it. Chest it is, right?
Rob: Yes. Oh yes.
Merijn Schoeber: It’s freaking chest.
Rob: Thanks be to God.
Merijn Schoeber: All right, so we’re doing a push workout so chest, shoulders, triceps. We’re mainly chest focused. Chest is also one of my weak parts, so Rob likes to hit the chest.
Rob: Yeah.
Merijn Schoeber: Go on.
Rob: Who doesn’t?
Merijn Schoeber: And we’re two bros together now so we got to do it.
Rob: Yeah.
Merijn Schoeber: Anyway, so the first thing we did is inclined double presses. I’m pretty much touch and go right now. I also like to do like two presses and one pause, so I’m going to do pause then flat, like regular flat.
All right, so not too heavy. [0:08:22] [Clean] form, pausing for about one second on the chest. [0:08:26] [Indiscernible].
So we got the combos out of the way. Just finishing up with some isolation lifts. Okay, for my chest flyes. And right now we’re super sitting, flyes with lateral raises and side delts as well. And then we’ll do some triceps and finish it off.
Rob: Very, very much needed workout. Sleep deprived, a little bit tired but it’s such a good feeling once you get it done.
Merijn Schoeber: You fucking did it, man, literally.
Rob: It actually turned out to be pretty easy.
Merijn Schoeber: Really, really good.
Rob: Yeah, I know. I feel good and now it is time to eat and call it a day.
Merijn Schoeber: We ordered the same meal, like a lean white fish, veggies. And I like extra veggies.
All right, so we had just diner there, a couple of drinks and now we’re – I’m going to give them the Amsterdam tour. All right, Mr. [0:10:12] [Guzy] here had no idea what the Red Light District was. What did you think it was?
Rob: And so I thought the red light – I thought it was – I don’t know what I thought. I thought it was nice like street with new stores.
Merijn Schoeber: Architecture.
Speaker: Architecture. I didn’t know until you just told me.
Merijn Schoeber: It’s something like that.
Emily: I found out earlier. The boys told me.
Merijn Schoeber: We’re going to show them around.
Emily: But now we’re really going to find out.
Merijn Schoeber: Yeah. Now we’re going to really find out. So tonight we’re going to take it slightly easy because tomorrow we got the meet-up. We want to be, you know, fresh. Tomorrow, we go get the real party going but I’m just going to give them a little taste of culture here in Amsterdam. That’s basically going to be it. Let’s get the culture going.
